Erika Griego runs a private, single-chair studio inside Elevated Beauty at 3500 Central Ave SE in Albuquerque's Nob Hill neighborhood. The studio is hers alone, so each appointment is handled by the same stylist from start to finish.

About

The studio offers color work, including balayage, foilayage, highlights, blonding, lived-in color, special effect colors, and color corrections. Hair services cover Brazilian Blowout, hand-tied and tape-in extensions, Microlink I-tips, and styling for special occasions and up-dos. Cuts include tailored and precision cuts, children's cuts, men's cuts, and mustache and beard trims. Makeup applications, scalp treatments including a Moroccan oil option, and facial waxing are also available.

Listed hours are Tuesdays from 10am to 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required for all appointments, and a $50 fee is added to the next appointment when that notice is not given. Deposits are required for color services ($75), Brazilian Blowout ($100), and extensions ($125).

Erika Griego gives direct, honest advice on what will and will not work for a client's hair type, upkeep level and expectations, with the aim of color that grows out well and styling that fits how clients get ready each day.
