About

The salon was designed by Sharon Larsen with the aim of a relaxed, unpretentious space. It sits in Woodland Heights with parking in front on Houston Avenue, on Oleander beside the building, and across the street on Bayland, and it is less than a minute from Interstate 45 and I-10. The salon describes itself as a calming place for pampering and self-care, and amenities include charging cables, aromatherapy, a beverage selection, a snack bar and Wi-Fi.

Every appointment starts with a consultation, even for longtime clients. New clients complete a text consultation before booking and fill out a new client request form, and the salon responds within 24 business hours. Clients not seen in 12 months are treated as new and reconnect about their hair goals. Color robes are provided for color appointments, and clients are asked to wash their hair the day before a color visit rather than arrive with it freshly washed and wet.

Blonding is central to the menu. Signature blonding starts at $375 and includes a full consultation, a bond builder, a customized toning gloss, a luxury shampoo and a blowout, with the final cost depending on the technique and product needed. Customized blonding is listed at the same starting price. Lowlights start at $50, tone glossing at $75 and toner service at $75. Modern Gray Coverage starts at $185 and is a root retouch with a luxury shampoo and blowout, without foils or blonding; the salon says its color line covers grays in one-third the time of traditional color. The signature hairline highlight, starting at $205, is a mini refresh of face-framing and nape highlights for existing clients on a six to eight week upkeep. Customized haircuts are $100 and include a consultation, a styling demonstration, a luxury shampoo and a blowout. Blowouts start at $75, and a flat iron add-on costs $35.

Treatments can be added to a visit. K-18 molecular repair costs $50 and can be added to lightening. The luxe hydrate and repair treatment costs $50, with an express version without steam or eye mask at $35. The Alchemic scalp treatment costs $50 and includes an enzyme scalp exfoliation, a CBD scalp masque, a head massage, Davines OI shine treatment, aromatherapy and steam, and it can be combined with the luxe treatment for $90. Metal Detox is a three-part pre and post color service for mineral buildup from hard water, chlorine and free radicals, priced at $50. Retail includes self-care brands for hair care, skin care, bath products and perfume oils. Listed prices are starting prices and can vary by time of day, technique and product.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and there are no weekend or after-5pm appointments. VIP appointments held when the salon is usually closed are available by request at 40% higher pricing. Online booking is not offered; appointments are made and changed by text message only. A credit card must be held on file to schedule. Cancellations need 48 hours notice, with a 25% fee on reserved services for shorter notice and 50% inside 24 hours. No-shows are charged 90% of the reserved amount. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling and the day-of fee, and services may be shortened without a price change. Haircut-only clients and clipper cuts are not accepted. Refunds are not offered on services, though slight adjustments may be considered if the client texts within 5 days. Hair care products can be exchanged within 30 days with a receipt, and non-hair items can be returned unopened or unused within 30 days. All major credit cards are accepted.

Each visit begins with a consultation, and the salon uses text consultations to get new clients ready before booking.

The salon describes its space as relaxed and unpretentious, and as a calming oasis for pampering.
