MD Boutique

MD Boutique opened in Uptown Charlotte in 2025 after a soft launch earlier that year. Founder Dr. Alicia Carroll established it while continuing her practice in Hickory, North Carolina. The business describes itself as Charlotte's first boutique aesthetic medical practice of its kind and as a center of excellence set within a luxury retail environment. It states that it is not a med spa, and it is physician-led.

A visit begins with a conversation and a one-on-one consultation rather than a set menu treatment. Treatment plans use a zone-based approach that divides the face into zones and combines that map with each client's own template. Neuromodulators are given by the practice's M.D. injectors.

Injectable options run from Botox Cosmetic, Jeuveau, Dysport and Xeomin. For filler work on the lips, cheeks, jawline and midface, the salon uses hyaluronic acid products, including the Juvederm Collection and Restylane Collection, plus Sculptra Aesthetic, which is biostimulatory. Also offered: facial contouring with a precise approach, dermal restoration, volume balancing, preventive and corrective injections, and consultations about facial aging.

Beyond injectables, the practice offers custom skin treatments and IV hydration. It also sells MDB Formulations skincare, custom-blended by a physician with medical-grade ingredients, and a selection of luxury eyewear from Danshari, Dansharian and Vontélle.

The space is gallery-style, with a calm, art-focused design. Each treatment room has segmented mirrors and an original mural by a local artist. The office is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm, with Saturday visits by appointment only. Complimentary valet parking is available on request. One Independence Center parking is entered from Church Street between West Fifth and West Trade Streets, and discreet entry is available. Metered street parking is also nearby.

Treatment is physician-led and individualized, with a focus on balanced, natural-looking results.
