MBrow

MBrow was founded in 2008 in São Paulo, Brazil, and added micropigmentation to its services in 2014. Its owner, Marina Heath, works as the practice's artist, and the business serves clients traveling from New York, Washington DC, Florida, Los Angeles and São Paulo. The practice returns to Brazil every quarter. The Columbia studio is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 8 pm.

Brow treatments are the core of the practice. Microblading uses a fine needle to hand-draw individual hair strokes and deposit pigment into the skin, while Powder Brow uses a machine to create a soft, powdered makeup look. Results are described as lasting at least a year, depending on skin type.

Before a procedure an anesthetic is applied, and some sensitivity may follow. Clients who have made a down payment complete a consent form before their appointment. Pigment color can be chosen together with the artist; otherwise the artist selects a shade that matches the client's skin tone.

Beyond the studio, MBrow offers brow parties and VIP services at locations chosen on request. Lash and lip work is also available: Lashes Enhancement deposits ink along the lash line to create the look of eyeliner, and Allure Lips uses an ultra-thin needle to enhance lip color and shape.

Micropigmentation is the center of the practice, and the artist explains how a hand-drawn technique differs from a machine-applied shadow technique so clients can choose the right one.
