The team works in English and Spanish, every client is greeted warmly on first and repeat visits, and the space is kept tidy, clean and organized. Tools and equipment are cleaned and sterilized for every client. Hours are seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
Hair coloring is the studio's specialty. Hair Botox, balayage and keratin treatments are priced after a free in-person consultation with Martha, based on hair density, length and porosity. Men's services include a range of cuts and fades, beard trims and line-ups, traditional hot towel shaves, grey blending and eyebrow detailing. Women's services include custom haircuts, full color, foil highlights, perms and blowouts. Ingrown toenail removal is one of the studio's specialties and one of its most requested services, and the studio offers it to women and men.
Facials use Dermalogica professional skin care and are described as non-medical, and the studio has a private facial treatment room. Many clients book a manicure with a deluxe spa pedicure together as a combo visit, which the studio describes as its most popular care combination. Professional brand products are sold in the studio for take-home use, and stock can be checked by phone.
The studio is about a two-minute walk from the 61st St-Woodside station on the 7 train and about a three-minute walk from the Woodside LIRR station.
