After certification she began building a body sugaring business, and she now also teaches body sugaring classes as an educator for Tamara's Professional Body Sugaring.

The studio describes sugaring as a 100% natural method that leads to permanent hair removal. According to the studio, the sugar paste never goes above body temperature and can remove hair as short as 1/8 inch. It says sugaring is less painful than waxing, does not damage delicate facial tissue, and that waxing is more likely to burn, lift skin or cause ingrown hairs.

Before a visit, clients are asked not to shave and to let hair grow about three weeks or 1/4 inch. On the day, skin should be free of oils and moisturizer and not exfoliated. Afterward the studio advises avoiding workouts, sweating, hot water and friction, and moisturizing daily. Visits every three to four weeks are recommended for maintenance. Packages can be booked in person or by phone and are non-refundable. Cancellations need at least 6 hours' notice, or a fee applies.
