The practice offers Botox and Dysport, both FDA-approved neurotoxins used for cosmetic work. Dysport is used to smooth frown lines and other fine lines that develop from repeated facial movement. Dermal fillers are also available, including Sculptra, which prompts the skin to produce its own collagen so volume returns gradually. Filler reversal is offered for filler that was placed outside the ideal facial plane. Kybella is offered as well, which the site describes as FDA-approved for fat accumulation under the chin. Signature filler options include the MHA Signature Lip Filler Treatment, the MHA Filler Refresh for one area such as the cheeks, jawline, chin or smile lines, and Full Facial Balancing, which addresses several areas during a single visit. Filler appointments usually run less than an hour. Changes show immediately after treatment and then refine over the next several days, lasting anywhere from a few months to more than a year depending on the area treated. Some mild swelling or bruising can happen, and it generally fades within a few days.
The facial menu includes an Express Facial with LED lights, a short session combining cleansing, hydration and LED light therapy with little to no downtime; a HydraFacial, which uses vortex technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate with serums; a Clarifying Acne Facial focused on cleansing, gentle exfoliation and pore purification for acne-prone skin, listed at $150; and a Microinfusion Facial that delivers a customized blend of ingredients into the superficial skin layers with microchannel technology. Dermaplaning, listed at $150, uses a surgical blade held at a 45-degree angle to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. Chemical peels are offered in eight types. Microneedling uses the FDA-approved SkinPen device, listed at $150, and is usually recommended as a series of three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. It can also be paired with PDGF or with platelet-rich plasma from the client's own blood. Other skin services include Elipsa LED light therapy, intense pulsed light photofacials for brown spots, sun damage, red spots and rosacea, and skin analysis with the GLIMPSE Professional Skin Evaluator. Facials are customized to skin type and goals and use medical-grade products.
The Complication Clinic is for people with concerns after dermal fillers or other injectables, including lumps, swelling, soreness, visible filler, colour changes and unevenness. It is open to new patients, returning patients and people seeking a second opinion. Visits begin with a consultation and diagnostic ultrasound scan of one or two areas, and can include ultrasound-guided dissolving of filler, return visits and a follow-up scan to check healing. Ultrasound guides the dissolving and helps protect surrounding tissue. Patients are walked through what the ultrasound shows and their options before any treatment. The practice says it treats only what needs attention and avoids unnecessary dissolving.
Other services include hair restoration using PRP, a three-step process in which the client's blood is drawn, processed and injected into the scalp; laser hair removal using the EVO laser, which the site describes as Italian-engineered; hot wax services; eyebrow tinting; and Lash Lift and Tint with semi-permanent dye, which requires a $100 deposit credited toward the visit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of an appointment are not refundable, and no-shows forfeit the payment. Functional wellness covers massage therapy, gut and allergy testing, metabolic health and medical weight loss programs, peptide therapy, sauna sessions and vitamin injections. Listed hours are Monday and Saturday 9:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesday 8:30am to 4:00pm, Friday 9:30am to 4:00pm, and closed Sundays, and the site notes hours may differ. Dedicated parking is behind the building, with free parking on 5th and 6th Street if the lot is full, and metered parking on Market Street. Hawkins Training Academy, run by the founder, offers aesthetics and ultrasound trainings in Maryland.
Treatment plans are built around the individual, with an emphasis on safety and natural-looking results. Work is grounded in evidence, and the Complication Clinic uses diagnostic ultrasound to see what is happening beneath the skin before any dissolving.
