About

ManesbyMarji is run by Marjorie Noel Battle, a licensed cosmetologist who works as the owner stylist and also goes by Marji. The work centers on braids and locs, and the studio welcomes all hair textures, including natural hair, and clients who bring inspiration photos.

Starter locs and instant locs begin with a consultation, and a 30-minute consultation is also available on its own. Loc detox uses an apple cider vinegar soak and removes debris from each loc.

Braid work includes feed-in stitch braids, knotless braids, plaits or two-strand twists, barrel twists, fulani braids, and takedown service, with prices set by style. The salon describes braids as a favorite service. Other offerings include quick weaves, silk presses, color, trims, shampoo and blow-dry, deep conditioning, and a signature curl revival that includes a full cleanse and precision curl styling on wet hair. A curly cut is available as an add-on.

Men's stitch braids are priced by design, from a basic style to a more detailed one, and include shampoo, conditioner, and blow-dry. Mobile appointments are available across North Carolina for a $100 fee plus mileage.

All appointments are booked through the online booking link. A deposit of 25% of the desired service is due at booking to secure the appointment, and changes need at least 48 hours notice. A 15-minute grace period applies, after which the appointment may be canceled or a $15 late fee may apply. Guests are not permitted at appointments, and hair should be mostly detangled beforehand.

The salon describes loc work as requiring skill, patience, and attention to detail. Services are built around natural hair, and clients can bring inspiration photos to shape the style.
