The salon describes its philosophy as centered on empowerment, teamwork, and education. It says it aims for a calm, upscale, comfortable setting, sets realistic expectations with clients, and tries to exceed them. It also says it supports ongoing education so the team keeps up with changing techniques and trends.

A visit starts with a consultation. Clients can bring photos or ideas as references. The first consultation is a free 15-minute conversation about options, and one is required before booking color correction for drastic changes or extensions, where the stylist matches color and chooses length and thickness. Clients can book by phone at (925) 255-1150, through the online booking service, or at the salon before leaving. Listed prices are starting prices and may change.

Mane Society is an exclusive Davines salon. Davines is an Italian product line from Parma, Italy, and is sulfate and paraben free. The salon describes Davines as a clean, sustainable line, and says Davines has run its manufacturing plants and offices on solar energy since 2006, publishes an annual emissions report, and plants trees to offset its carbon footprint. Slightly used products may be returned or exchanged.

The salon is in a one-story building with no stairs and offers private parking just off Main Street. It is open Monday, Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed Sunday. Children need arrangements made unless they are receiving a service, animals are not allowed, and clients are asked to silence their phones.

The salon centers its work on education, teamwork, and a thorough consultation before each service, with a stated aim of setting realistic expectations and exceeding them.
