Mane & Murr Salon

Mane & Murr Salon is a Dallas hair salon offering low-maintenance blonde color and hair extensions. Clients travel in from Frisco, Plano, Rockwall, Richardson and other parts of the metroplex, and the salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

Blonde services are organized into three appointments. The Refresh, about 2 hours and $155, adds face-framing highlights or a money piece refresh with gloss and style, or covers gray with face-framing highlights. The Maintain, 2.5 to 3 hours and $227, is built on partial highlights or balayage, or gray coverage with highlights, plus a root melt and gloss and style; the salon labels it its most popular option for low-maintenance blondes. The Revamp, 3 to 3.5 hours and $281, is a larger transformation using full highlights or balayage, or partial blonding with tip-outs, with a root melt and gloss and style or gray coverage with highlights. Styling is included with every package, and the estimated time is shared before booking. First-time appointments typically run 3 to 4.5 hours.

Hair extensions are offered as K-tip and hand-tied weft, which can be combined in a hybrid method. The Barely There Mane is a single-row option for subtle volume, the Signature Mane is a two-row option for volume and length, and the Luxe Mane is a three-row option for maximum fullness and length. Each has installation charges and move-up appointments every 7 to 10 weeks, and extension prices before installation start at $450 for 18-inch hair on the Barely There Mane, $850 for the Signature Mane and $1,375 for the Luxe Mane.

The studio is set up for comfort during long appointments. Complimentary snacks, drinks, WiFi and iPhone chargers are available, along with a lap desk, hand lotion, a place to rest bags, a warm weighted neck and shoulder wrap during color processing, and a book library where clients can take one and leave one. Quiet appointments can be arranged on request. Before a first visit, clients fill out a digital form to choose drinks, snacks and music for their appointment, and the stylist texts the day before to offer complimentary extras. Clients are asked not to wash their hair for 48 hours after a service and can reach the stylist by text after booking.

Color and extension work is planned around each client, with a consultation at the first visit and a maintenance plan set during each appointment.
