Mane Event Salon

Mane Event Salon has operated since 1980 from the Fifth Third Building on North River Road in Rosemont, Illinois. Posh Saverino owns and runs the salon, which sits beside a flower shop and near Carlucci's restaurant in the same building.

The salon's stated mission is to bring out each client's inner beauty. It describes its work as modern technique aimed at sophisticated, fashionable styles and describes its atmosphere as relaxing. The team includes stylists, a barber and nail technicians.

Bridal work is a major part of the business, with hair and makeup available onsite for the wedding party. Starting prices are $35 for a flower girl, $75 for a bridal trial and $85 for bridesmaids. A $150 non-refundable deposit holds a wedding date and is deducted from the balance, which is due on the wedding day, and a 20% gratuity is added to the final total. For off-site weddings, 10% of the total services is added for locations 0 to 10 miles away, 15% for 11 to 25 miles, and a $250 flat fee applies beyond 25 miles, payable in cash only. Updos that include extensions carry a $10 fee, and a $30 travel fee applies to travel 30 or more miles one way from the salon.

Monday is by appointment only. Tuesday hours are 10:30am to 6:30pm, Wednesday through Friday 9am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Appointments need 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, or a 50% cancellation fee may apply. Wedding changes to services or party size must be submitted 90 days ahead, and wedding cancellations carry no charge up to 90 days out, 50% of the quoted total at 30 days, and 100% at 14 days or less. Free parking is available in the Bright Horizons Day Care lot, and a parking garage is available when visiting the salon. Online booking is offered, and the salon asks that dresses not be steamed near working stylists.
