Malabella Studio operates from a house in a Clovis neighborhood, near Clovis High School, with Fowler Ave and Barstow as the nearest cross streets. The studio was opened in Clovis by its owner after she ran a spa in Los Angeles. It is described as a calm, quiet and private space, and it draws clients from Clovis, Fresno and the wider Central Valley.

Lash work covers classic, volume and hybrid extensions. A first full set usually takes between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on how many natural lashes a client has, and the studio describes the look as natural but enhanced. Lash fills for existing extensions take about an hour, and the studio accepts fills for extensions applied by another artist. Extensions typically last 6 to 8 weeks, with fills recommended every 2 to 3 weeks. The studio states that extensions do not damage natural lashes when applied correctly by a trained professional, and describes its lash service as the best in Clovis.

Waxing is offered as Brazilian waxing and brow shaping. A Brazilian wax takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and results usually last 3 to 6 weeks. Hard wax is used for most work, with azulene wax for sensitive areas such as the bikini line and face. The studio describes its waxing as quick, gentle and clean, and says its wax pot is kept clean and germ free. Brazilian waxing can be booked during a period, with a tampon or menstrual cup. Male bikini waxing is not offered, and teen eyebrows are waxed conservatively. Lunchtime waxing appointments are available.

Reiki sessions typically run about an hour and begin with an aura clearing followed by crystal healing. A Reiki facial combines a facial with Reiki in one visit. For ongoing work, a series of sessions spaced one to two weeks apart is recommended.

Bookings are made online or by text, and the studio asks clients not to call. Cancellations and reschedules need 24 hours' notice, and clients are asked to arrive on time, since late arrivals may shorten the appointment. Before lash appointments, clients should arrive with clean lashes, without mascara, eyeliner or oil-based eye products, and with contacts removed. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6 pm. Gift cards are sold, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
