Makeup by America F is run by its owner, America F, through makeupbyAmericaF, LLC. The business provides on-site makeup services, so the artist comes to the client for weddings and events. Its work covers everyday glam, bridal looks and red carpet styles, and the studio serves the Chicagoland area and some areas farther out.

Wedding work is the core of the business. A bridal makeup application is scheduled for one to one and a half hours. Bridal party applications are booked at 45 minutes each, and a typical party runs seven to ten applications. For weddings with more than ten applications, an additional makeup artist can be added. The artist arrives 15 minutes before the first application on the wedding day to set up, and time is left at the end of the schedule for touch-ups.

Before the wedding, clients can book a bridal preview, which is a makeup trial. Previews are usually held in the salon on weekdays and are recommended one to three months before the event. Weekend previews are rarely accommodated. Travel to the client for a preview is available, and travel rates may apply.

Booking works best well in advance. To secure a date, a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee are required, and clients are advised to inquire as soon as they know their date. Every makeup application includes a pair of complimentary strip lashes if the client wants them.

The studio also keeps in touch after a wedding and books milestone makeup such as engagement sessions and baby showers. Clients have access to a client portal where they can view project files, communications and the list of participants.

Makeup is designed to enhance each client's natural features rather than change them.
