Mai Lash Bar

Mai Lash Bar concentrates on one service: the Lash Lift, a semi-permanent treatment that curls natural lashes to add length and volume. The salon states it has more than ten years of experience with lash lifts, and it uses Japanese keratin lash lifting products.

Visits are by appointment only, and the salon asks clients to arrive without mascara. Before the appointment, the team looks at each client's lash length, curve and eye shape to suggest a lift style that fits. Clients who still have lash extensions can have them gently removed before a lift if they do not want to wait.

A lift lasts about 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the natural growth cycle of the lashes, and no touch-ups are needed in between. The lift takes about 24 hours to settle. After that, makeup can be worn, though only very light mascara is recommended.

The salon recommends lifts over lash extensions, noting that extensions can damage natural lashes and need more upkeep. It says its lifts are safe and do not harm natural lashes. Clients can add a Deep Nourishing Treatment for $20 when booking a lift.
