LuxHairBox is a hair studio and boutique at 6420 Richmond Avenue in the Galleria area of Houston. Founder Tasha runs the studio, which describes itself as Houston's premier luxury hair studio and boutique. Visits are by appointment only, and clients book through StyleSeat, where the profile shows a 5.0 rating from 260 reviews and more than 1,000 bookings.

About

Extensions and weaves are the core of the menu. Magic Part Weave is a full-head weave in which all of the client's natural hair is braided with no leave-out and individual hair pieces are interlocked at the top; the studio says it uses no lace and no glue. The Curated Bond is the studio's house signature, a hybrid K-Tip extension service that starts with a consultation ($75, applied toward the service). Extensions are chosen for the client's hair density, texture and desired result, then placed and installed.

Tape-in extensions are offered and are suited to fine to medium hair; the studio says they are ultra-flat and undetectable while adding length and volume. Sew-in weaves and quick weaves are also offered, including Signature Traditional Sew-In, which the studio describes as built on more than 20 years of expertise, and Signature Quick Weave, a faster application than its standard quick weave. Maintenance visits cover lace closure, frontal and braid-less sew-ins.

Wigs are a major part of the business. The studio sells ready-to-wear wigs, 13x6 HD front lace wigs and 5x5 HD lace wigs, makes custom wigs, and installs lace-front and full-cap wigs using either a client's own unit or one from the in-salon inventory. Wig refreshes and drop-off shampoo and style are also offered, and a wig-making class with sewing machine training is listed.

Beyond extensions, the menu includes color, cuts, silk presses, relaxers and treatments, along with a boutique shop. A non-refundable deposit is required at booking to secure the appointment and is kept if a client cancels without rescheduling. Cancelling less than 24 hours ahead forfeits the deposit and charges the difference between the deposit and 50% of the service price; a missed appointment forfeits it and charges the difference to 100%. A $100 accommodation fee applies to last-minute appointments. Klarna pay-later is accepted, subject to approval before the appointment. Hours are Wednesday 10 AM to 5 PM, Thursday and Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM, closed Sunday through Tuesday. The site lists a Guest Artist Program and published refund and shipping policies.

The studio describes its work as fully custom to each client, and Tasha says her work is known for clean parts, secure installs and long-lasting results.
