Elizabeth has been working as a hairstylist for 23 years and has owned a salon for 19 of them. Earlier in her career she also taught other stylists, sharing what she knew with them. She has built long-term client relationships in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco.
Blonding and customized color are her main focus. Services range from a mini blonding that keeps color fresh between full appointments, to partial and full blonding that build dimension through the hair. Color services cover root color with gray coverage, all over dimensional color, and a base shift that lightens the base of the hair. Cuts include a customized haircut with a blow dry style, and a Malibu C salon treatment adds a deep conditioning step.
Clients booking a color service are asked to wash their hair twice beforehand with Malibu C Hard Water Wellness Shampoo. Anyone who applies a topical product to the hair or scalp, for example Rogaine or Nioxin, is asked to rinse it completely out of the hair and scalp before arriving. The shampoo can be bought online or in the salon.
Elizabeth works with the condition of the hair rather than pushing it past its limits, aiming for personalized color while protecting the structure of the hair. She considers trust an important part of the relationship between a stylist and client.
