Lush Hair Studio was created by Marilyn, who worked in downtown Jersey City before opening the studio in Bayonne. The studio describes itself as a women-focused space that is cozy and feminine, with comfort in the chair as a priority.
The studio puts hair health first and says each service is adjusted to the client's hair needs. Before most color, highlight and extension work, clients can book a consultation of 25 to 30 minutes for $25, and that fee is applied to the final price if the service is booked.
Color and highlight packages include a complimentary consultation, a precision haircut, a deep cleanse, steam scalp massage and a signature blowout. Partial highlights are balayage, babylights and teasylights placed through the crown, face frame and top section, with custom toning. Full highlights combine foilyage, balayage, teasylights, babylights and custom placement throughout, with custom toning, a repair mask and a blowout.
Booking terms: a card on file is needed to book but is not charged then; payment is taken at checkout. Rescheduling or cancelling with at least 24 hours' notice is requested. Cancellations inside that window are charged 40% of the service price, and no-shows are charged the full price. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean the service is changed or rebooked. Concerns about a service should be emailed to the studio within 7 days.
