Luminous Esthetics

Laura runs Luminous Esthetics, a solo skin care business she opened after finishing esthetics school in 2020. The studio is in a private suite on Mountjoy Street, and client reviews describe the space as calm, clean and relaxing.

Bookings are held with a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the scheduled cost, which can move to one reschedule before a new deposit is needed. Clients should arrive on time, ideally no more than ten minutes early, and text if running late. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without contacting the studio counts as a no-show. Guests and children are not permitted at appointments. Payment is by Apple Pay, card or cash, and cash requires exact change.

Facial and waxing services are not offered to clients with certain conditions, including active cold sores, herpes outbreaks, sunburn, open sores, bleeding, fever, or a current Accutane prescription. For lash extensions, clients should arrive without makeup or mascara, as removing eye makeup costs $10. Lash fills are recommended every two weeks and need at least 40% of the existing lashes to remain. A small retail shop sells about 35 skin care products and lash accessories, and a referral offer gives both the referrer and the new client 10% off any service.

Equipment is sanitized between guests, and product suggestions are matched to each client's skin type.
