About

Braiding is the heart of the menu. Styles range from beads and extra layers of braids to box braids, knotless braids, feeder braid combinations and two-layer braids, with lengths from 18 inches up to 36 inches. Several styles use RUWA hair, including jumbo knotless, stitched knotless, and some feeder and two-layer options. Boho curls can be added to any braid style for an additional fee, and a braid-down service is available for clients who want braids made to wear under a wig.

New clients must book a consultation before any other service. During the consultation the stylist checks the hair for balding, thinning and chemical damage and goes over questions or concerns. Deposits are due when a booking is approved, and the balance is paid on arrival. Deposits can be sent by Zelle, while cash and cards are accepted; card payments carry a 3.5% fee, and Zelle has no fee. Cancellations need 72 hours' notice, or the deposit may be forfeited and an extra 50% charged to the card on file. The same charge applies to last-minute cancellations, no-shows and late arrivals, and a booking is cancelled if the client is more than 15 minutes late.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM, with the salon closed on Sundays. Next-day or after-hours bookings carry a $25 fee, and same-day, Sunday or Monday bookings carry a $50 fee. Children under 12 need an adult present for the entire service and must be able to sit through it. Food, electronics during services and extra guests are not allowed, and children are only permitted when they are being serviced.

Beyond braids, the salon offers crochet, butterfly locs, loc detox and retwists, soft locs, sew-ins, twists, relaxers, silk presses, rod sets, scalp treatments, eyebrow services, individual lashes, nail care and enhancements, and makeup including a full glam with lashes and brows. The salon also teaches classes. The braiding class with loctician training runs 360 minutes for $1,000, with a $150 non-refundable deposit; it includes a braiding kit and a state board license, and applicants need proof of 10th grade education, a GED or a high school diploma, plus photo ID. The makeup artistry class is priced from $450 and runs 240 minutes, including boutique registration, and the threading class is $500 for 240 minutes.
