About

The school operates under a Kentucky state license and falls under oversight from the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology. Its programs are designed to prepare students for state licensure, and each clock hour a student completes is reported to the state board as credit toward the license requirement. The state board, not the school, issues the license once students pass the state theory and practical exams. The school itself grants a certificate of completion after students finish the required hours and coursework.

Enrollment is open with no semester start dates and no waiting list, so students can begin soon after signing up. Enrollment questions are answered by text or call, and the school says it keeps answers in writing. Walk-in visits are welcome Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, and no appointment is needed to visit. Written program costs and payment terms are provided before enrollment, and the signed student agreement governs. Sponsors, employers, nonprofits and workforce programs may pay toward a student's account, but the student remains responsible under the agreement. Reduced net costs shown for some programs depend on qualification, completion and written approval of optional incentives, and they are not automatic. The school does not participate in FAFSA or federal Title IV aid and is not institutionally accredited. It withdrew from NACCAS candidate status in December 2025 to focus on Kentucky licensure.

Instruction is primarily in English, with translation technology and human support where available. The school publishes resources in seven languages, including Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Khmer, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese, and it offers a Spanish enrollment guide. Automated translation may be imperfect, so the written documents are the reference. The school describes its teaching as combining human instructors, hands-on practice and AI-assisted study tools. Study resources include licensing exam practice, free study labs for each Kentucky license area, and a Kentucky law and regulation lab. Public online materials do not award clock hours or count as completed instruction.

The student clinic offers supervised live-model services under licensed-instructor supervision. It is not a commercial salon, and appointments are made by phone rather than online. Availability varies, and the school does not guarantee timing or results for clinic services. Graduates in good standing may receive ongoing mentorship, subject to current policy and staff availability.

The school says it is award-winning and nationally recognized, and it reports several honors: a 2026 BBB Torch Award, a 2025 U.S. Chamber of Commerce CO-100 honoree listing, a 2025 finalist place for the National Small Business Association Advocate of the Year, and a 2026 Congressional Recognition. It also reports nearly 2,000 licensed graduates and 436 Google reviews rated Excellent. These are the school's own statements. A second location is in planning, but none has been announced.

The school focuses on licensure preparation, hands-on skill-building, sanitation and safety awareness, and communication in several languages. It aims to make training workable for students who balance jobs, family duties, transportation limits or language barriers.
