Logan Parlor is owned by Jamie DiGrazia, who also founded Hair Has No Gender, a gender-free hair program and nonprofit focused on equity and inclusion in the beauty industry. A portion of proceeds from the salon and its bar goes to that nonprofit. The salon describes itself as an LGBTQIA+ safe space and an allied space of the program, and says it welcomes all hair types, especially serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pricing is gender-free and set by service timing, hair length and stylist level, with leveled options for different budgets. Starting prices are listed on the services page, and final prices are quoted by the stylist. Haircut appointments include a consultation at the time of service. Color work begins with a 15-minute consultation for a $28 fee, held virtually or in person and required before a first color service; final color prices are set at that consultation. Color and decolorizing services include a relaxing shampoo, a deep conditioning treatment and a scalp massage. Guests can help themselves to coffee or tea at the color bar, and metered parking is directly in front of the salon on Fullerton Avenue. The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is closed Mondays. The phone number is (872) 206-2682.

Team members take part in in-salon education, and according to the salon, it has a group of nationally awarded educators on staff. Staff have completed diversity, equity and inclusion coursework: Gender Appropriate Language instruction run through Howard Brown, plus Safe Space sessions offered via L'Oréal. According to the salon, its color team holds Redken certification, and the salon calls itself a Redken Elite Salon. The salon also notes that Chicago Magazine chose it as Chicago's best new salon in 2014.

The Associate Training Program runs 8 to 10 months and was designed with Summit Salon Business Centers. Completing it prepares a stylist to work on the salon floor as a Level 1 Stylist. According to a Summit study the salon cites, graduates earn on average $10,000 more in their first year. Clients can also book Apprentice pricing through the Model Program. The space has an expanded floor plan and a full-service craft bar, and it hosts live shows, pop-ups, community fundraisers and private parties. Event requests are made through an interest form, and submitting it does not guarantee a booking.

Haircuts can be adjusted within 7 days of service through a complimentary 15-minute edit appointment. Cancellations or reschedules need 48 hours' notice; changes made later are charged 50% of total services, and no-shows are charged 100% to the card on file. No refunds are issued for services rendered. Some appointments may be passed to friends or family for similar services, but clients should call to confirm, since hair length and density can affect eligibility. Formal styles, braids, locks, texturizers, perms, and traditional or airbrush makeup are available on request. An all-gender bathroom is on site, and gift cards can be bought online or in the salon.
