Appointments run in two-hour blocks, such as 8am or 2pm, and most retwist services take two hours. Booking requires a $50 non-refundable deposit that is applied to the service, and an online form must be completed before booking. Rescheduling needs at least 24 hours' notice. Any remaining balance is paid in cash on arrival, and extra guests are not permitted at appointments. A $2 processing fee applies to bookings and is not credited toward the service.
Most retwist prices do not include a style. For clients with a high loc count, styling is quoted from a photo of the hair and an inspiration picture. Starter loc services require a photo of natural hair before booking, since the salon only coils hair that curls when wet; straight or wavy textured hair can only be locked with instant lock. The salon also mixes natural and pastel colors, offers cuts and styling, and sells its own limited-edition LocQueen hair care products.
Loc Queen keeps its stylists current through ongoing education in cut, color and loc techniques, with a focus on loc care.
