Loc'd & Cut'z Studio

Loc'd & Cutz Studio is a hair studio in Hillside, Illinois, owned by Elyse, a loc specialist who founded the Loc'd by Elyse Hair Care Collection. Loc care is central to the studio. Elyse focuses on healthy loc care, and the studio's own line is plant-based, made for hydrating, strengthening and restoring locs and natural hair, with ingredients such as aloe vera, avocado oil and shea butter. Braiding is another main area. Juan offers stitch braids from $130, which take about four hours and ten minutes, along with box braids, knotless braids priced by size, two scalp braids for hair five to six inches long, and simple braid styles where hair is not included. Huey covers barbering, including tapers, fades, lining, beard work, razor shaves, kids' cuts and transformation cuts.

The studio accepts cancellations up to 24 hours before a service. Cancellations made within 24 hours are charged 50% of the scheduled cost. Barber appointments carry a $10 late fee at 10 minutes late and are voided at 15 minutes. House calls start at $100 and must be requested before booking.
