LMB Virtual Locks

LMB Virtual Locks is a single-practitioner studio in Hermitage focused on Sisterlocks, a micro interlocking method for tightly textured hair. Owner Lisa Ballard began offering the service in 2014, right after her training, and works with women and men who want locks.

Sisterlocks is offered as a package of three appointments. The opening visit is a consultation that reviews a client's past hair care, daily routine and styling likes, and includes small sample locks being inserted. Before this, clients should shampoo their hair at least two times so the team can determine the size and pattern of locks. The locking itself takes place across two or three days, occasionally four. Sessions happen in a laid-back, home-like room with a range of films, complimentary Wi-Fi and a cosy feel. When finished, clients take home a kit containing Sisterlocks starter shampoo, elastic bands, and a handout with care and washing advice.

A follow-up visit is scheduled within four weeks of locking, ideally about three weeks out, to check lock integrity and retighten where enough new growth has come in. Package pricing is set at the consultation. The $30 consultation fee and $100 deposit to reserve the locking session are applied to the full cost, and the balance can be paid in installments.
