LiveEdge began as a two-chair salon in Oregon City and has grown into a team of 16 employees. The Tigard location opened in 2022, giving clients a second place to book with the same team approach.

The salon traces its roots to 2014, when owner Sydnie set out to build an inclusive team of stylists in Oregon City. The salon describes itself as a team-based business that puts unity and support first, and it runs LiveEdge Academy, an in-house training program for newer stylists and estheticians.

Hair services are designed to feel spa-like, with a personalized ritual built into the visit. Every haircut package includes the Signature HeadSpa Ritual, a blowout and a style, and the HeadSpa Ritual is also included with color services. Guests who cannot visit in person can request a virtual consultation to be matched with a service and stylist. New guests can book a Signature Haircut or Signature Facial at a special rate, with up to 30 minutes of extra time at no charge on the first visit.

Skin treatments use an apothecary shelf of herbs, clays and oils for hand-mixed masks, alongside professional products. Facials include steam, double cleansing, serums, moisturizer and eye cream, and the Resurfacing Facial adds dermaplaning, enzyme peels and LED light therapy. Sugaring removes hair from the root and grips the hair rather than the skin, and most clients see smooth skin for three to four weeks, with regrowth often finer over time.

The salon offers gender affirming services, including haircuts, brows, facial hair tinting, wig styling and makeup tutorials, and anyone may book from the full menu. The salon says it partners with Strands for Trans and donates 10% of proceeds from these services to The Living Room.

Focuses on organic products and sustainability, using fair-trade, ethically harvested and organic products for all hair and skin services. Hair services use plant-based ingredients and ammonia-free treatments.

The hair services are meant to feel spa-like, with personalized rituals included in the visit.
