Live Blow Dry is a family-owned salon at 9541 S Dixie Hwy in Pinecrest that opened on November 1, 2015. The salon says its goal was to make beautiful hair simpler, and that Miami New Times Best of Miami named it best blow dry bar in Miami in 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. It also cites more than 725 five-star Google reviews. Makeup, keratin treatments, extensions and Olaplex services were added over time in response to client requests.

About

Blowouts are the core of the menu. A standard blowout at $60 takes about 55 minutes and includes a wash, iron styling, a Davines finishing spray chosen by the client and a complimentary beverage. Add-ons include a scalp massage, a hydrating treatment, extended time up to 75 minutes or extensions. Clients who arrive with clean, dry hair can choose a dry style, where the stylist adds curls, waves or volume. Wigs can be washed, dried and styled as a blowout service. Children are welcome, with a Sugar and Spice blowout for ages 8 and under.

Makeup starts at $30 and is offered for weddings, birthdays, business headshots and date nights. Looks are done by a junior artist or a master artist, with glam, natural and bridal options, kids makeup and costume or Halloween makeup. The salon uses products from brands including NARS, Anastacia and Urban Decay, and clients may bring their own.

Hair extensions are 100% Remy human hair with the cuticle intact, and the salon uses Bellami and Hotheads for tape-in work. Sew-in, tape-in and beaded extensions carry a $10 to $25 added charge. The salon offers installation, retaping, removal and hair by length, with a consultation needed to set the final cost. Keratin services include Keratin Hairline Only, Plastica Capilar, Keratin Express and Keratin Smoothing, with four keratin products available and the stylist choosing one after a free 15-minute consultation required for a first keratin treatment. Keratin smoothing is not performed on pregnant clients, who are asked to get their doctor's approval. Olaplex Express and the full Olaplex Treatment are offered, and the salon recommends a complete Olaplex treatment every four to eight weeks.

Walk-ins are accepted when available, though booking is recommended. Cancellations need at least four hours' notice to avoid a $25 fee, and higher-cost services usually require a 50 percent deposit. Clients more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule. Only credit cards are accepted, and tips can be added to the card. Hours are Monday 7am to 7pm, Tuesday 9am to 5pm, Wednesday to Friday 7am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 8pm and Sunday 9am to 5pm, with the salon closed on January 1, July 4 and December 25.

The salon says its goal is to make beautiful hair simpler. Stylists may use their own technique when blow drying, and clients can request a favorite stylist.
