Liv Lash Boutique was formerly known as Chicago Lash Lounge. The business describes itself as Chicago's only beauty bar and as the third lash studio in Chicago. Its founder, Olivia Leigh Black, opened the original business about three months after finishing esthetician classes in 2009.

Before moving to appointment-only service, the business ran two public storefronts in the Lakeview and Roscoe Village neighborhoods of Chicago. Today clients book at a private studio with free parking. Lash and brow services can also be done at clients' homes.

Lash extensions are semi-permanent and use synthetic faux mink fibers bonded to single natural lashes with professional adhesive. Full sets come in classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume styles, and a feather set is also offered. Fills are priced by how long since the last visit, from 1 to 1.5 weeks up to 3 to 4 weeks. A fill has to be booked within 2 to 3 weeks with at least 40 percent of extensions still in place; otherwise it is treated as a full set. Classic full sets and refills can also be taken as a monthly membership.

Body sculpting uses non-surgical methods, including low-level diode laser treatment through pads, electromagnetic muscle stimulation on the abdomen, thighs and buttocks, ultra and custom cavitation, EMS sculpting, radio frequency on the body or face, wood therapy and hot stone massage. Skin services include mini facials without steam, exfoliating treatments, an anti-aging treatment, glycolic and chemical peels.

Some house rules apply. Clients more than 15 minutes late may be cancelled unless the technician can still fit them in, and no-shows without notice may be denied future appointments and lose their deposit. Guests are not allowed at appointments, and phones should be put away during services. At the private studio, clients must be 18 or older, though clients 16 or older may bring a parent who signs a waiver. Refunds are not given, but lash and brow work will be adjusted until the client is satisfied, and a free removal is offered if a client has an allergic reaction to lash extensions.
