Ling Chan's early reputation rested on a hands-on method built around intentional touch, lymphatic massage and pore-to-pore extractions, and those techniques still anchor the facial menu. The salon says it has offered its treatments for more than five decades.

The studio blends traditional Asian facial techniques and holistic skincare with newer technology and modern treatments, which it calls its East-meets-West approach. The menu is organized into signature and curated facials, back facials, a la carte add-ons, advanced treatments, enhancements, lasers, a skin analysis scan and multi-session packages. The salon describes itself as known for curated facials that are popular with celebrities, personalized enhancements and holistic regimens. It attributes its title of The Best Facial in NYC to Allure and Forbes, and says Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, W Magazine and B International have featured it in print.

The skin analysis scan is a good starting point for a first visit. It uses AI and photo analysis to assess twelve skin concerns, including pores, texture, UV pigmentation, UV damage, sensitive areas and wrinkles, and it estimates a skin age against the client's age group. Recommendations come from a skin expert. The salon suggests booking a scan at the first visit and another after a few visits to compare progress.

Booking conditions are published on the website. Appointments that are cancelled, moved or not attended with under 24 hours' notice carry a $150 fee. A 90-minute service that has to be cut to 60 minutes when the client arrives is billed at the 90-minute rate. Guests who turn up more than ten minutes after their start time might receive a shorter appointment, but the full booked price still applies. Finished services, spa packages included, cannot be refunded. Retail products may be returned or swapped within 30 days of purchase, and gift certificates cannot be refunded once sold. Series packages purchased on or after July 30, 2025 end two years after the purchase date, while packages bought before that date do not expire. Buy Now, Pay Later plans are offered, subject to eligibility and approval.

Pairs time-tested hands-on techniques with current science-backed skincare and advanced technology, holding that technology can sharpen an esthetician's skill but cannot replace the human touch.
