LexDoesNails is a one-person nail studio. Alexa Efta owns and runs it as a sole proprietor from a private suite at 202 N River Ridge Circle in Burnsville. The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 8 PM and is closed the rest of the week. Studio seating and space are limited, so guests cannot come along to appointments.

The main offering is acrylic extensions. Full acrylic sets without art come in lengths from short to XXL and start at $60, taking about 125 minutes or more. Artist's Choice full sets start at $75 and take about 195 minutes or more; they include nail art at levels 2 through 4, and the technician picks the designs, colors and shape. Those sets need bare nails or a soak-off added to the booking. Fill-ins for sets the studio applied start at $55 and take about 120 minutes or more, and must be done within 23 days of wear. Longer wear requires a soak-off, an extra fee and a new full set.

Nail art is sold only as an add-on, starting at $10 for about 20 minutes, in four levels from simple to most complex. Level 4 starts at $65. Nail art work needs at least one to two and a half hours before the art is added. Gel manicures start at $35 and take about 40 minutes or more, including shaping, cuticle work and one gel polish color. Builder gel manicures start at $55 and take about 80 minutes or more, adding a builder gel overlay and detailed cuticle work. Builder gel fills are for returning clients only. Cat-eye and chrome gel options carry an extra fee.

Soak-off and removal of artificial nails start at $30 and take about 25 minutes or more. A foreign removal option is available for sets the studio did not apply.

Booking requires a $30 non-refundable deposit, collected through the booking site. One reschedule can be made using the existing deposit if requested at least 24 hours ahead; otherwise a new deposit is needed. Cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours forfeits the deposit and carries a 50% service fee. Arriving late is handled with a 5-minute grace period, then fees of $10 or $20 depending on how late, and after 15 minutes the appointment is cancelled with a 50% fee. A no-call, no-show carries a fee of 50% of the service, and unpaid fees can lead to a ban from future appointments. Bitten or damaged nails, nails with fungus, hands with open wounds or warts, and nails showing infection are not serviced. Booking means agreeing to these studio policies.
