About

Lexa Aesthetics is a small esthetics business in Puyallup, led by its owner and esthetician, Alexa. The business says its mission is to make each client feel listened to and cared for in a safe space, and to help people rebuild their confidence.

Facials here are planned around each client's skin rather than a set order of steps. The LA New Client Facial suits a first visit and combines extractions, a custom mask, dermaplaning, LED light, serums, and a warm oil treatment with massage for the neck, shoulders and scalp. The LA Basic Facial is adjusted to the individual and may draw on enzyme therapy, LED, peptide or oxygen work, lactic acid resurfacing, or restorative masking. Returning clients are the intended audience for the LA Signature Facial. The LA LUXE Facial can be extended with hydrodermabrasion, firming peptides, or nano-infusion. Two shorter options, the LA Hydroderm Mini and the LA Dermaplane Mini, are also available, and dermaplaning can be added to either the Hydroderm Mini or the Basic Facial.

The advanced treatment menu includes microneedling, also called collagen induction, which is listed for acne scarring, texture, skin tone, dark spots, sun damage and melasma. It requires a consultation and approval before booking and comes with a take-home post-procedure kit. Peels include the Pigment Control Peel, a 7% TCA blend with botanical extracts listed for photo-aging, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and acne; the BioRePeel, a 35% TCA peel listed for acne and acne scarring that can be repeated every 7 to 10 days; and a custom chemical peel blend listed for acne, pigmentation, fine lines and texture. The business claims the BioRePeel delivers its results without downtime.

Acne Bootcamp is a program that pairs clients with the esthetician for a personalized home routine and in-person treatments every two weeks. It begins with an in-depth consultation covering skin history, current regimen, medications, lifestyle and diet, plus a skin sensitivity test, which costs $80 or more. Home care products generally run about $175 to $200 per person and typically last two to four months. Clearing typically takes three to four months, and the business hopes for three to six months, though results vary. The business states an average clear rate of 98% with client commitment. The program requires following the home routine and keeping appointments, and it is not suited to occasional use. The Virtual Acne Bootcamp, at $45 for a 30-minute session, is for clients who are not in person and includes products and biweekly check-ins over three months, with no in-person treatments.

Brow and lash services include brow shaping, tinting, and brow lamination, which uses a keratin solution to reshape and set brow hairs; a makeup-free photo of current brows is needed before booking. Lash services include classic and Korean lash lifts, with or without tint. Waxing covers the face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian areas, using sensitive, hypoallergenic wax and offering aftercare products. Clients should complete the intake forms sent by email 24 hours before a first visit and arrive 15 minutes early. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice by call or text, with a fee of 50% of the reserved amount; no-shows are charged 75%, and booking closes after two no-shows. Children under 13 and pets are not allowed in treatment rooms. Services, products and gift cards are nonrefundable. The studio is open Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and accepts cash and major credit cards but not checks.

Alexa recommends treatments and products based on each client's skin needs rather than the service they asked for, and tailors regimens to skin type and goals.
