Le Petit Salon Curl Concept is a Cambridge salon that narrows its focus to curly and textured hair. The Harvard Square location opened in 2019, and the salon describes itself as the only salon in New England devoted exclusively to curly care.

The salon's view is that curly hair should not be handled like straight hair, so services and products are chosen for each hair type. Booking asks clients to choose a service level by current hair length using a hair length guide, and the curl type guide runs from wavy 2A to 2C, curly 3A to 3C, and super curly or coily 4A to 4C.

Clients book only through the online booking tool. A 50% deposit holds the appointment and the remaining balance is paid at the salon. Changes or cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice; the deposit is forfeited if that window is missed, and transaction fees for cancellations or rescheduling are non-refundable. Clients are asked to arrive with dry hair in its natural state, shampooed at least two days earlier, with minimal product and no braids.

Pintura Highlighting is hand-painted, freehand color shaped to each client's curl pattern, using one color or several. The Deva Cut is sculpted curl by curl on dry hair and includes a curl-enhancing style and blow dry. Oribe Renewal Remedies is an in-salon treatment the stylist blends for each client, aimed at texture, hydration, smoothness and strength. The salon says the treatments make hair 4x smoother, 4x softer and 74% more manageable, describes Pintura Highlighting as award-winning, and states that its Deva Curl formulations are newly dermatologist certified.

Metered parking in Harvard Square is $1.50 an hour for up to two hours in most locations, and free on nights, weekends and holidays. Nearby garages include Harvard Square Parking Garage at 20 Eliot Street and Charles Square Garage at One Bennett Street, where rates vary.

Curly hair is treated on its own terms, with services and products selected for each hair type rather than applying a straight-hair routine.
