Lavishh Styles Oak Park

Lavishh Styles has two salons in Michigan, one in Lathrup Village and one in Oak Park. The salon describes its mission as offering skilled hair color and healthy hair care to everyone, in a space that welcomes all identities, textures and tones.

Hair porosity is central to how the team works. Clients are taught why understanding porosity matters for overall hair health, and treatments and products are chosen to suit each client's porosity. The salon says it uses cruelty-free products and sustainable practices meant to protect clients' hair, and it works only with products it supplies, so clients cannot bring their own to appointments.

The menu covers single and double process color, PeekABoo color, bleach and toner, and color correction billed by the hour. Braid services include knotless styles, and installs include sew-ins and natural quick weaves. Blowouts, silk presses, heatless curls and wig and bundle coloring round out the list. Hair Care Mondays are bookable only on Mondays and pair a complimentary scalp detox and shampoo with a styling service.

Every service requires a non-refundable retainer, which is applied to the cost of the service. Hair color appointments must be booked within seven days of the consultation, or the deposit is forfeited. Hair is washed for every service, and clients need at least three inches of hair; short haircuts are not accommodated. Clients must be 16 or older, or have parental consent, and only the person being serviced may attend. Late arrivals are charged $10 per ten minutes, appointments are cancelled after thirty minutes, and same-day cancellations forfeit the deposit. Refunds are not offered, though adjustments may be made if the salon is contacted within 24 hours of the appointment. Services are not performed on scratches or abrasions, in line with state board regulations.
