Laura began working as a hairstylist at age 20, after graduating from beauty school. She later worked as a salon manager before launching an independent bridal business in Montecito, California, where she ran it for seven years. The business has been based in Los Angeles for the past decade.

Bridal work is planned in stages. A bride starts with a virtual consultation, where she explores inspirations, her personal style and the look she has in mind. A creative design phase follows, in which each hairstyle is shaped around the bride's features, neckline, dress, venue and overall mood. Service continues through the wedding day. The bridal package also includes a customized hair health and wellness plan, personalized inspiration, premium extension sourcing and on-site touch-ups. Premium tools and luxury products are used during bridal sessions.

Services are by appointment only. The business works exclusively with brides, though it may accommodate a bride's mothers, bridesmaids or guests on occasion. Bridal hair is offered in Northern California, including Napa Valley, Sonoma, Carmel-by-the-Sea, Big Sur, Monterey, Sacramento and San Francisco, and in Southern California, including Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Solvang, Malibu, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Palm Springs, San Diego, Coronado and Temecula, as well as for destination weddings.

Education comes in two formats. One-on-one hair tutorials are open to non-professionals and require no professional experience. The client styles her own hair while guided through product use, hand positioning and technique, and receives a list of the tools and products used afterward. A peer-to-peer masterclass for beauty professionals covers advanced bridal, red carpet and editorial styling, including texture, face shapes, consultation approach and business strategy. It includes a private five-hour advanced styling intensive, a lunch break and a Q&A session. Education sessions are tailored to each student's goals, skill level, hair type and vision.
