LashSpot SF has been serving San Francisco since 2013 and says it has worked with thousands of clients. The salon is on the second floor of the New People Building at 1746 Post Street, in Japantown, and its bright orange doorway marks the entrance.

About

Rather than applying one standard style to everyone, the team plans each set around the client's eye shape, how their natural lashes grow and how they live day to day. Classic full sets place one mink extension on each applicable natural lash. Hybrid sets mix classic and volume techniques. Volume sets use handmade fans customized to each natural lash, and the salon does not use cluster fans. Russian Sable extensions are described as softer and lighter, with strong curl retention. A volume full set takes about two hours.

Lash services are grouped into classic, hybrid, volume, Russian Sable and mini sets, along with lift and brow combinations. Lash lifts and perms can be paired with brow lamination, which keeps brow hair brushed up for about five to six weeks, and with tinting. Brow shaping must be booked alongside a lash service. Facials are offered by Vivian.

Returning clients are those whose last visit was five weeks to six months ago. Visits sooner than five weeks book a touch-up, and visits longer ago than six months book a new client service. Touch-ups are priced by timing, from one week to three to five weeks. Clients coming from another spa within two to three weeks can book a new client touch-up. The salon recommends getting lashes about three weeks before a wedding, with a touch-up close to the date.

When you arrive, call or text the salon and a technician will greet you. Remove contact lenses and all eye makeup before your appointment. Gift certificates can be bought in person or as electronic cards in amounts of $50, $100, $150, $300 or a custom amount. Parking is available in the garage across the street, at meters, and on some nearby streets with two-hour free parking.

Each set is designed around the client's eye shape, natural lash growth and lifestyle rather than one standard style.
