The Lux Loft is upstairs from The Brick Bar-Restaurant in downtown Fuquay-Varina and also houses independent nail technicians, estheticians and hair stylists. The studio describes itself as offering luxury lashes, brows and permanent makeup.

Brow appointments begin with Brow Mapping, a measurement of set points on the face that determines where the brow should start, arch and end. An outline from those points then decides which hairs to remove, so the shape is planned rather than guessed. New clients are asked not to tweeze or wax their brows for four weeks before the first visit. Brow Shaping suits regular maintenance and Brow Rehab clients, while Brow Shaping XL gives more time for first-time clients, very thick brows, or anyone who wants a longer design session.

Lash extensions are offered in Classic, Hybrid, Volume and Mega Volume styles, plus a lash lift and tint for natural lashes. A first full set takes about two to two and a half hours and fills about one to one and a half hours. Clients are advised to come back for a re-lash within two weeks of the first full set, and a fill booked more than two to three weeks after the last visit is charged as a full set.

Permanent makeup includes microblading, ombre powder brows and tattooed freckles. Microblading is not recommended for oily skin or brows that have been tattooed before. Ombre powder brows are machine-shaded for a soft makeup look and are suggested for clients in humid conditions, with oily skin or who exercise often. Tattooed freckles last about two to four years depending on lifestyle, sun exposure and skin type, and clients should avoid makeup on the area for a week afterward.

The salon is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 8pm and on Saturdays by appointment only. It is closed on Mondays, and Sunday hours vary.

Brow work is planned with Brow Mapping, which uses measured facial points to set the brow outline before any hair is removed.
