The studio sits in Union Square and serves clients from Union Square, Nob Hill, Chinatown, North Beach and the Financial District. Lash sets are done one client at a time in a private suite, with each set matched to the client's eye shape, natural lashes and the look they want.

Full sets are $238 for classic, $258 for hybrid (classic lashes woven with soft volume fans) and $288 for volume (hand-made fans of ultra-fine lashes). Retouch prices depend on how many weeks have passed since the last visit: classic runs from $88 at one week to $128 at four weeks, hybrid from $108 to $158, and volume from $118 to $178. A fill needs at least 40% of lashes still on each eye; otherwise a full set is booked. Lash lift with tint is $108, Korean lash lift is $118 and lash removal is $58.

New clients send a $40 deposit the day they book by Zelle, Apple Cash or Cash App, which goes toward the service; that first deposit is non-refundable, and returning clients don't pay one. Changes or cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and missed appointments are charged 50% of the service. Clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes, free of oil, eye makeup and mascara residue. Lash Academy SF offers private, hands-on lash extension certification taught one-on-one in Union Square. The Classic Lash Extension course is a one-day certification from 9am to 5pm for $1,295, and the Volume Lash Extensions course is two days for $1,588; both include a professional kit worth $600. The Lash Lift and Brow Lamination course is one day for $800 and includes a $300 kit. Courses run Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays, when the salon is closed to clients. A $500 deposit reserves a course date, payment plans are available, and deposits are non-refundable; rescheduling needs at least 5 days' notice, subject to availability.

The curriculum covers natural lash growth, sanitation, classic application, lash mapping, isolation, lash glue, fills and removals, communicating with clients, aftercare, setting prices and building a client base. Those who finish a course are given a Lash Academy SF Certificate of Completion. Graduates can use the Union Square studio at no charge for roughly their first two months to practice on their own models. Refresher classes are not available. The California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology does not oversee this program, and finishing it does not permit anyone to perform paid lash services in California without a valid cosmetology or esthetician license.

BBWAX, a Brazilian waxing studio led by Carla Martins, is a partner business located in Suite 614 of the same building. According to the studio, clients have rated it 5.0, based on 107 Google reviews and 94 Yelp reviews. The studio also reports being included in the Spa + Beauty Guide published by 7x7 Magazine.
