Lash Mate has three Pennsylvania studios, in Blue Bell, Lansdale and Norristown. The business was founded by its owner, Jin, and focuses on eyelash extensions and semi-permanent makeup.

Eyelash extensions are offered as full sets in Basic (60 lashes per eye), Classic (80), Natural (100), Glam (120), Volume and Mega Volume styles. Each extension is attached to a natural lash with medical-grade adhesive and does not touch the skin. A new set is priced separately from refills, and refill prices rise with the time since the last visit, from about one week up to three and a half weeks. Add-ons include a premium silk lash upgrade, a hybrid set and a bottom lash. Lash tinting, lash lifting and eyebrow lamination are also available, along with lash removal, which starts at $25 at the salon and is $35 for lashes applied elsewhere, depending on the condition of the lashes.

Makeup services cover bridal makeup, engagement photo makeup, general makeup with upstyle hair, trial sessions and makeup lessons. These are priced after a call or text inquiry.

Semi-permanent makeup includes eyebrow microblading, an eyebrow powder effect, upper and lower eyeliner, lip color, lash line enhancement, eyebrow shading, beauty marks and color correction. Microblading is done by hand with a pen that deposits pigment rather than with a machine. The salon says its microblading pen pins are three times thinner than tattoo needles. Semi-permanent makeup does not include a touch-up, and one is recommended about a month after the first treatment. Touch-up prices depend on how many months have passed since the treatment.

Clients should book with a credit card or a $50 deposit. Arriving about five minutes early helps with check-in. A $50 fee applies to cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, no-shows and arrivals more than 15 minutes late. Lash extension services are not refundable, and a service that is part of a discounted series is forfeited if it is missed under the cancellation policy. Before lash extensions, clients should remove eye makeup and cleanse with a mild oil-free cleanser, and should avoid face creams or sunblock around the eyes, mascara and lash curling.
