The salon says its aim is to raise the standard of the Baltimore salon experience, with a space arranged so stylists can concentrate on artistry, new techniques and craft. It describes itself as welcoming and gender affirming for all clients, and it takes part in the Dresscode Project. It is a Certified Green Circle Salon, and it reports that it is carbon neutral through that partnership, diverts nearly 90% of its waste from landfill, repurposes leftover chemicals so they stay out of groundwater, and runs on 100% renewable energy.
Stylists attend classes led by industry educators from across the country and receive regular training from the salon's Director of Education. The salon states that its stylists are among the most highly trained professionals in the area. Services range from precision cuts and foil highlights to balayage, hair painting, toner and gloss, and conditioning treatments tailored to hair and scalp needs.
Consultations can be booked online. Prices vary by stylist based on experience and demand, and listed prices are starting points that may rise with hair density, color history or the result wanted. Color appointments, changes and cancellations go through the salon directly by phone or text, while existing clients can book haircuts online. Appointments require a credit card, 24 hours notice for changes, and a 10-minute arrival window, and a $1.00 eco-fee is added to each visit.
The salon builds its operation around environmental responsibility, using only product lines chosen to limit the environmental impact of the salon industry, and it is certified through Green Circle Salons.
