The salon says it blends natural and glamorous approaches to beauty, and describes its locations as relaxed, upbeat and trendy. It calls itself an AVEDA lifestyle salon and uses AVEDA products across services, including the Full Spectrum hair color system. Holistic skincare and body treatments use organic products. The salon also says its team has worked backstage at New York Fashion Week and Bridal Fashion Week, and as hair and makeup artists for Pittsburgh photographers.
Booking has a few steps. Color services can't be booked online, so first-time color clients book a Color Consultation by phone or online to get timing and a price quote. Hair extensions require a consultation first. Updos and wedding or special occasion hair also can't be booked online. A card is required to hold appointments, payment is taken after the service, and the salon asks for 24 hours' notice on cancellations. Spa clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes early. Prices vary by provider based on how long they have served clients and how in demand they are.
Bridal services begin with a complimentary initial consultation covering hair, makeup and the plans for the day. Bridal parties of four to six people can book the dedicated suite at the Mt. Lebanon salon, and each bride receives a touch-up kit with her lip color and a travel shampoo and conditioner for her honeymoon. Bridal appointments are arranged through the bridal coordinator at bridal@lapomponnee.com or by calling the Mt. Lebanon location. Final payment is due at least one week before the wedding, and tips on the wedding day are accepted in cash or by Venmo.
Mt. Lebanon is open Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday 10am to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm. McMurray is open Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 8pm and Friday 9am to 4pm, and is closed Saturdays and Sundays. The loyalty program gives points for front-desk purchases and referrals, which can be redeemed for qualifying product or gift cards. Gift certificates work at either location, and gift cards are sold at the front desk in any amount.
