Kristy's Artistry Design Team was established in 2010 and is led by its founder, Kristy Alonzo, who also runs the team's training. The work spans weddings and bridal, corporate and commercial jobs, TV productions, magazine and film, everyday special events and photoshoots. The team travels to hotels and venues for on-site services, which are offered around the clock.

The business says it works with more than 25 artists who are exclusively contracted to it, and that each one is vetted through an interview. All artists receive the same training, and they are trained to work with every hair texture and skin tone. The team supplies its artists with makeup kits, tools and hair products. The business also reports that, in one recent year, its team completed over 600 weddings, 300 trial run-throughs and 600 commercial and production shoots. The site lists clients including WWE, Lionsgate Entertainment, Neutrogena, Subway, Dick's Sporting Goods, PepsiCo, MTV/ViaCom and Kraft Food Company.

Wedding dates are usually booked about a year and a half ahead. Reserving a date requires a non-refundable $200 retainer, a $6 processing fee and a signed service contract, and the retainer is applied toward the final balance. Saturday dates need at least eight adult hair or makeup services in addition to the retainer. A timeline and prep letter goes out about four to six weeks before the event. Services on a signed contract can be reduced until 90 days before the event, and increases are usually allowed if timing permits. A credit card must stay on file for two weeks after the event to cover any unpaid balance. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, in cash at the Winter Park studio, or by ACH invoice sent through Square.

Trials are a separate, optional booking. They are held Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the studio, by prepaid appointment, and for booked brides they are suggested about 12 weeks before the wedding. A classic trial runs 1.5 to 2 hours and covers one hairstyle and one makeup look, while a luxury trial usually takes 2.5 hours or more. Trial looks may include tweaks and may not be fully photo-ready, and photoshoot trials are booked separately. Booked brides get a one-time discount on a trial package that includes hair, makeup and lashes. Trials allow a 15-minute grace period, and a $2.50 per minute late fee applies if a late arrival can still be accommodated.

Training is central to the business: every artist gets the same instruction, the founder personally trains each artist, and stylists attend structured courses. Artists work only with the business after an interview process.
