Kristina's Hair Lounge

Kristina's Hair Lounge is a hair salon on Fort Salonga Road in Northport. The services run from children's haircuts and eyebrow work to balayage, extensions and bridal hair, and the salon's portfolio shows balayage, babylights, glaze, color correction and extension work.

Kristina Cavagnaro runs the salon and is its master stylist. She has been working in hair for 15 years. Her areas of focus include blonde work and extensions, along with a broad menu of hair services.

The salon is open Wednesday from 1 PM to 8 PM, Thursday from 3 PM to 9 PM, Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM, and it is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. A consultation is offered at no charge and takes about 20 minutes, which makes it a practical first step before color or extension work.

Some appointments carry deposits for new clients: $50 for double process, $125 for balayage and $50 for up styling. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, and no-shows, are charged a 30% fee. Prices for highlights may vary with hair type, thickness and product use, and blowouts and glaze or toner carry extra charges for hot tools, extensions or excess product.

Hairwear toppers are arranged through a consultation. The topper is bought before the installation is booked, and maintenance appointments every 4 to 5 weeks are recommended.
