KQ Bawi LLC was founded to help underprivileged girls and battered women rebuild self-esteem through makeup techniques. Founder Brenda Waters is a licensed professional permanent makeup artist who works at the Fairfax Crossroads studio.

Before booking, clients can take a free virtual consultation covering their goals, medical history and questions; spots are held on a first-call or book basis. Brow packages include an in-person consultation before the appointment, customized brow mapping, topical numbing gel and an aftercare kit. Permanent makeup sessions run roughly two to three hours, and the business advises allowing four. Clients with certain medical conditions or recent treatments are not eligible for permanent makeup, and clients under 18 cannot be served. For brow work, clients are asked to send a clear, well-lit photo of their brow area, or of any existing permanent makeup, before booking. A deposit is required to book permanent makeup and is forfeited if a client books while ineligible.

The eyelash menu includes classic, hybrid and volume styles, offered as 3-hour Xtreme Lashes sets with 70-plus lashes on both eyes, as refills, and as UV-cured applications. The site recommends refills every two to three weeks. Extensions are applied by a certified Xtreme Lashes Lash Stylist, and removal is also offered.

The spa menu includes custom, deep cleansing, anti-aging and hydrating facials, chemical and enzyme peels, Procell microchanneling, airbrush and traditional makeup, male special event sessions and teeth whitening. The business also offers a free skincare and makeup consultation, and sells gift cards that can be used toward any service or product and do not expire. Payment plans are offered through Cherry for some services.

States that safety is always the top priority, and treats permanent makeup as a two-step process with an initial session and a touch-up 6 to 12 weeks later, followed by a recommended yearly touch-up.
