Stylists were trained by a Japanese hair salon group that the salon describes as one of the largest and best known in Japan. The salon describes itself as offering what it calls the world's best Japanese hair service in New York City, and says its stylists have more than 15 years of professional experience.

The menu is organized into blow dries, color, cuts, highlights, nails, perms, straight perms and treatments. Balayage, ombre and design color are priced after a consultation, and the listed prices for other services vary with hair length and texture and are subject to change. Prices exclude tax and gratuity. Students receive 10% off with a valid student ID.

Hair appointments can be booked by phone at 212-620-3846 or by email with your name, phone number, preferred stylist if any, and three preferred dates or times. Nail appointments are booked at 347-874-8249. First-time clients are asked to call so staff can ask about their hair. The salon is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM and is closed on Mondays.

Some hair appointments require a credit card to hold. Those have a 24-hour cancellation policy, and a missed cancellation is charged the full service price. Staff usually confirm by phone one business day ahead, and the salon may cancel an appointment it cannot confirm. If no stylist is requested, one is assigned, and the assignment may change based on other bookings. Redo requests for dissatisfaction must be made within two weeks of the service and do not cover a change in style. The salon does not offer refunds for any services.

The salon focuses on high-quality beauty treatment, ongoing staff training in new methods, and techniques brought from Japan.

The salon has a relaxed feel and includes a feature called the Kiwa gallery.
