About

Kiri Artistry is a small studio run by its owner, Kiri, in Sandy. It is open by appointment only, and every appointment is one-on-one, so the owner gives each guest full attention for the length of the visit. Guests are asked to arrive for their appointments on their own, and animals are not allowed in the studio. The studio describes itself as a quiet space, free from typical salon chemicals, scents, noise and chatter, and complimentary snacks and drinks are offered during services.

Kiri started working in cosmetology in 2007 and has about 20 years in the industry. Before opening the studio, Kiri worked in a range of salons with different services, products, settings and education options. Kiri has advanced training in curly hair and works regularly with curly, wavy and straight hair.

Color services run from a glaze to a creative custom bundle. A glaze is listed at $100 and takes an hour or more, a touch-up is listed at $150 and takes about 1 hour 15 minutes or more, a custom color bundle is listed at $230 for two hours or more, and the creative bundle is listed at $310 for three hours or more. Highlighting services include a complimentary toner. The studio says its blended colors often go three to six months without a root touch-up, while other highlighting methods typically need retouching every four to eight weeks. Blending options include balayage, color melt, ombre, root smudge and root tap.

New clients are asked to fill out an online form about their hair and goals before the first service. Spa-style treatments and relaxing scalp massages can be added to a visit. The studio uses color products with ingredients meant to help stabilize hair during coloring, cruelty-free products, and curl-friendly products intended to support scalp health and nourishment, and it sells shampoo and conditioner for use at home after treatments.

Uses a blend of cutting methods chosen for each client's texture and desired result rather than one fixed system, and uses color products intended to stabilize hair during coloring.

A quiet, calm studio free from typical salon chemicals, scents, noise and chatter.
