KIN Studio was founded by Chris Tam, an esthetician and Pilates educator who has worked in beauty and wellness for more than 30 years. Her first skincare studio opened in Beverly Hills, and she has since opened several Pilates studios across Northern California.

The skin studio at 2241 Central Avenue Suite C offers house facials, seasonal facials and chemical peels, booked online. Facial lengths range from 60 to 90 minutes. The essential facial is customizable and includes deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, extractions and a mask, while the other house facials each focus on a particular concern such as clarifying, sensitive or inflamed skin, lifting, or exfoliation with microdermabrasion. A four-session series is designed for teens with acne.

The Pilates studio at 2414 Central Avenue A runs reformer classes in three named formats: ROOT for beginners, FORME for all levels with a full-body flow based on classical principles, and METHOD for intermediate and advanced students, which requires clearance before booking and is not offered with modifications. Single classes, a two-week introductory offer, class packs, monthly plans and unlimited memberships are available. Packages can be used for classes and on-demand videos. Private sessions, including solo, duet and group options, are offered in Alameda and the wider San Francisco Bay Area.

The studio also sells KIN-brand skincare online and in its shop, and sells gift cards from $30 up to $1,000. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm.

The studio describes its facials as results-focused, pairing clinical-grade skincare with a luxury feel, and it offers Pilates alongside skin care as part of one wellness practice.
