Kimberly Irene Salon grew out of a goal to help people and give back to the community. The founder started working as a stylist after finishing beauty school in 2006, and the business has since expanded from Kirkland to a second location in Vancouver, Washington.

The salon's view is that good relationships with clients lead to good hair. New guests usually book a simple block, such as a haircut, basic color, modern color, or a combination, and each includes a consultation, shampoo, and blowout. The consultation covers service suggestions, questions, possible outcomes, and hair testing, so the look is planned around each client's personal style.

The menu runs from pixie, bob, shag, and curly cuts to root touch-ups, partial and full highlights, custom blonde, rainbow color, color correction, split dye, and grey blending. Texture options include keratin treatments using Milbon, Lasio, or Cezanne products and basic perms. Head spa treatments, a Milbon deep conditioning add-on, and a hard water treatment are also offered, along with brow, lip, and chin waxing.

Believes strong relationships with clients are the foundation of good hair and designs a custom look around each client's personal style.
