KG Hair Artistry

KG Hair Artistry is run by owner and stylist Kellie Gaskill, who has been working in hair since 2003 and has built her career around the Newton community. Clients book services that are grouped under haircuts and blow dries and under hair extensions.

Haircut and blow dry services range from a short clipper cut with wash and style to a haircut and style, and blow dries can be finished with curling or flat iron styling. Color services cover root color and retouches, partial root coverage along the hairline and crown, and glosses or toners that add shine and can be clear. Gray and silver hair can be toned with gloss or toner to reduce yellow tones. Highlights range from mini foil and face frame work to partial and full foil, and hand-painted balayage comes in mini, partial and full versions. A root melt add-on can be added to blend the root into highlights.

The salon offers a free 15-minute service consultation. Custom color, tape-in extensions, bridal hair and kids' party services are arranged after consultation, and bridal hair details are requested by email. Hours are Tuesday 11:30 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 11 AM to 4 PM, Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to 3 PM, with the salon closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Cancellations made at least 48 hours ahead are free. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged half the booked service cost, and no-shows or cancellations without notice are charged the full cost. Gift cards come in set amounts of $75, $100, $150 and $200 or in a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.
