The salon describes itself as one chair rather than a chain, and clients see the same stylist at every visit. Clients come from River Falls, Somerset, Baldwin, New Richmond and Osceola in Wisconsin, and from several Minnesota communities including Stillwater, Woodbury and Minneapolis. Drive times from listed towns run from about 12 to about 45 minutes.

Color is the core of the work, including balayage and foilyage, foils, blonding, gloss, and lived-in color planned around each client's hair. Consultations are required for several color, esthetics and extension services, and new color clients complete a patch test before their first color appointment. New clients also fill out an intake form covering hair history, allergies and goals. Listed prices are starting rates; color is confirmed in person and haircut pricing is set at the appointment.

Extensions use the DreamCatchers system, a glue-free, bead-based method using 100% human hair. The salon also offers sewn-in weft extensions along with tape-in, k-tip and i-tip methods. Sewn-in wefts need a maintenance appointment every several weeks, often six to eight. New extension clients book a consultation before the first install. Weddings, bridal updos, bridal-party styling and trials are priced after a consultation, and inquiries go to the salon by email.

The salon is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm, by appointment only, with no walk-ins. Booking requests go through the website form with the service and preferred times, and are confirmed by email within 24 hours. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours ahead, and late cancellations or no-shows may lead to a fee on future bookings. Metered parking is available on 3rd Street and in front of the building; the Passport app zone is 71002. Cash and major cards are accepted.

Each service is planned around the client's own hair, from its history and natural tone to how much upkeep they want. Lightening is built up gradually, and the salon's focus is lived-in color, natural-looking extensions, and cuts that suit fine hair.
