Kelanie Bishop

Kelanie Bishop owns K Bish Designs, where she styles hair from Chair 2. She is a licensed cosmetologist with more than 16 years in the field. Her work has taken her through Oregon, Hawaii and Virginia before she settled in Hudson, Wisconsin.

She finished her schooling at Mt. Hood Community College in Portland in 2010, and Aveda training followed. Continuing education has covered courses from Aveda, Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Redken, Joico and Pulp Riot. She holds DreamCatchers certification as an extensions specialist and has learned tape-in, k-tip and i-tip methods.

Her focus includes lived-in blondes and brunettes, extensions, and cuts and styling for fine or thin hair. When coloring, she plans each appointment around the hair's history, its natural tone and the upkeep a client is willing to do, and lightening is built up over several visits when a goal needs it. Cuts for fine hair are shaped to add fullness and movement. Services include a scalp massage, and she regards rapport with clients as just as important as technique. Clients come for a complete change, to maintain an existing style, or for a relaxing visit.
