Hair transplants are done as outpatient procedures. Patients usually arrive early in the morning and leave in the afternoon. Follicles are taken from the back of the head and placed in balding areas. The average procedure uses between 1,500 and 3,000 grafts, and a graft estimate tool is linked on the practice's website. Depending on graft count, a session can run from a few hours to a full day. Most patients feel well a day or two later, though the area may stay numb for several days. Visible growth takes at least two months, and full results can take six months to over a year. The practice states that results from back-of-head donor hair are permanent. Eyelash transplants are performed under local anesthesia in the office and take about two hours; the practice notes that transplanted lashes grow permanently and need regular trimming and curling.
Non-surgical care starts with a consultation. Alma TED, an ultrasound-based system used with a hair care formula, is offered as a needle-free option; the practice says it aims to improve blood flow to the scalp, and it lists possible side effects such as scalp irritation, dryness or flaking, changes in hair texture and temporary shedding. PRP uses the patient's own platelets and plasma, takes about 45 to 60 minutes per session, and is delivered through a closed system the practice says prevents contamination. For alopecia areata, which the practice describes as an autoimmune condition with no cure, the physician chooses from corticosteroid injections and topical treatments, minoxidil, topical immunotherapy and cyclosporine. A separate treatment page covers hair loss linked to hormone imbalance, thyroid conditions and childbirth.
The practice pairs surgical hair transplantation with non-surgical treatments and says candidates are assessed during a consultation before any treatment is recommended.
